(UPDATE) Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos, who skipped the presidential forum attended by his rivals on Friday, posted a video showing his attendance in another sit-down interview.
Four minutes before 12 p.m., Marcos posted an Instagram Story where he was shown sitting in front of Korina Sanchez-Roxas for her "Upuan ng Katotohanan" presidential interviews. It was not clear whether the video was an earlier recording or it was happening live.
"To be clear: When we invited BBM it was his team who chose the time and date. We had no choice," Sanchez-Roxas said in an Instagram post.
The only son and namesake of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, did not attend the live forum hosted by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, citing conflicts in his schedule. He was the only candidate who turned down the invitation for the three-hour event that started 9 a.m.
Marcos Jr. earlier declined the interview request of Peabody awardee Jessica Soho, whom he accused of being "biased" against his family. He was also a no-show in his scheduled interview with GMA's radio station dzBB.
