President Bongbong Marcos has chosen Antonia "Toni" Yulo-Loyzaga to head the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Malacañang said Tuesday.
Yulo-Loyzaga's nomination will still be subject to the fulfilment of the required documents, said Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles.

Yulo-Loyzaga was the chairperson of the International Advisory Board of the Manila Observatory where she advocated for climate and disaster resilience research. She also served as the institute's executive director and technical adviser of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation.
Apart from her work as a climate advocate, Yulo-Loyzaga is also part of the Senior Advisory Board of the AFP’s Command and General Staff College.
Yulo-Loyzaga joined Raphael Lotilla as among the nominees for the remaining Cabinet positions that have yet to be filled by the Marcos administration.
Lotilla is Marcos' personal choice to head the Department of Energy, but his employment status is being clarified as he is currently an independent director of Aboitiz Power and also of Enexor, a company engaged in the business of oil and gas exploration and production.
Section 8 of the law creating the Department of Energy states that “no officer, external auditor, accountant, or legal counsel of any private company or enterprise primarily engaged in the energy industry shall be eligible for appointment as secretary within two years from his retirement, resignation, or separation therefrom.”
At present, Marcos has yet to name his choices for secretary of health, science and technology, and human settlements.
