President-elect Bongbong Marcos on Saturday shared how his wife and children had been preparing for their transition as the first family once he assumes office on June 30.

In a vlog, Marcos said that his wife Liza had left the law firm she established as she gets ready for her new role as First Lady.

Talagang binuhos niya ang kanyang sipag dito, ang kanyang galing dito," he said.

While Liza had to leave her law firm, Marcos reminded her that it's only "the beginning of a new chapter" for their lives.

Liza earlier said that she didn't want to think what her role would be if her husband won the presidency, adding that entering the government was "not [her] thing," having been a law professor for the longest time.

"Maybe I'll cross the bridge when I get there," she told celebrity talk show host Boy Abunda in an interview last March when asked if she would be politically involved if ever she becomes first lady.

"But if ever, teaching will be good, I'm a lawyer. But to enter government, no way," she added.

Aside from Liza, Marcos said his son Sandro is also "very excited" to start his term as representative of the first district of Ilocos Norte. His two other sons, Simon and Vinny, are also getting used to having security always with them.

Marcos will take his oath as president at the National Museum on June 30, the day he also officially starts his term as chief executive.
