Here's some good news for city folks looking for a quick beach escape: Boracay is open again to tourists from Metro Manila.
Travelers aged 18 to 65 from Metro Manila, and other MGCQ and GCQ areas, can resume trips to the white sand beaches of Boracay, the Department of Tourism said.
Metro Manila is testing a new COVID-19 alert level system with granular lockdowns until the end of the month.
If you’re planning to visit Boracay, here are the requirements you need:
- Negative RT-PCR test result (swab or saliva) with 72 hours validity for non-Aklanon tourists
- Booking confirmation from a DOT accredited establishment
- Government Issued ID
- Travel details (mode of travel, place of origin, arrival date)
- SPass - https://s-pass.ph/
- Accomplished Online Health Declaration Form through touristboracay.com.
If processing is successful a copy of the form will be sent back through email. The QR code will be scanned at the ports of entry.
