The expressway is expected to open in the third quarter of 2021.
Toll structures are already erected. Construction of drainage system, and installation of expressways road and safety features such as road lights, guard rails, and barriers remains on track.
Once complete, CALAX is seen to slash travel time between Cavite and Laguna from to an hour from two hours. The 45-kilometer expressway will serve 45,000 vehicles with eight interchanges in the following locations:
- Kawit
- Governor’s Drive
- Open Canal
- Silang (Aguinaldo) Highway
