Caloy Yulo Places Fourth in Vault, Short of Medal Finish

Filipino fan favorite Carlos "Caloy" Yulo placed fourth in vault gymnastics at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday, one spot short of a medal finish.

Yulo, 21, totalled 14.176 with his two jumps on the strength of a 14.866 second jump. but fell out of the medal places.

The Philippines has so far won a gold medal, its first ever via weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz and is assured of one silver and one bronze in boxing via Nesthy Petecio and Eumir Marcial, respectively.

It's the Philippines' best performance so far in the Olympics and the first time it won more than one medal since the 1930s.
