Former Miss Universe and philantrophist Catriona Gray said Wednesday a general accused by militants of red-tagging apologized to her in writing for including her name in one of his Facebook posts.
Lessons should be learned, said Gray. Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade's post, which also mentioned actresses Liza Soberano and Angel Locsin, "did not achieve what he intended to do" and instead caused a lot of concern.

Parlade, the head of of a national task force against the communist insurgency, warned Soberano on Facebook about her dealings with Gabriela adding she was "not yet" a member of the New People's Army.
His post sparked a #YesToRedLipstick and #NoToRedTagging campaign on social media led by Locsin, a humanitarian like Gray.
Parlade wrote to the ex-Miss Universe to " personally apologize for dragging my name into this issue," Gray said. "I appreciate that he reached out," she said.

"If there is an intention to protect, it should be done in a certain way," she told Headstart on ANC.
"I feel like the way it was done did not achieve what he intended to do as he says, which is to warn... It caused a lot of concern," she said.
