Comelec's Guanzon Pranked with Food Deliveries on Last Day as Commissioner

At least seven orders were sent to her office.

Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, who voted to disqualify presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos, said she received prank deliveries on Wednesday, the day of her retirement.

At least seven unsolicited orders arrived at Guanzon's office in Comelec Manila, DZBB reported. "Since last night there are bogus food delivery orders to Comelec under my name. Police are investigating. Beware!" she said on Twitter.

One delivery, ordered at Kenny Rogers Roasters via Booky, was addressed to Guanzon with a total bill of P5,390, according to ABS-CBN News. Other orders were booked via Grab and Foodpanda and the riders shouldered the cost, DZBB reported.

Guanzon is leaving the Comelec with the First Division, which she chaired, unable to release the official decision on the cases against the son of thge late dictator Ferdinand Marcos. She said the ponencia or author of the ruling, Commissioner Aimee Ferolino-Ampoloquio, was deliberately delaying the decision so that her vote wouldn't count.

"I retire today at midnight with a glass of wine in my hand and a Bible on my left. I wish to tell you that it is with much pride that I retire with honor and excellence, true to the traditions of the University of the Philippines and the principles of my family and my parents: excellence, integrity, honor, justice," she told CNN Philippines.

"I hope those that have watched me in the past few days especially the young people will be inspired to enter government service and stand, always stand, for what is right," she said.
