Filipinos now know that the name Converge is not just used by a local internet service provider, but that there is also an American punk band that goes by the same moniker.
The band, best known for their hardcore music, had to clarify on Facebook that they are not an internet provider in the Philippines after an irate Filipino complained of poor internet service on the musicians' page.
Poking fun at the confusion, the band joked that "COVID has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet."
"Hey everyone... still just a hardcore band over here. COVID has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet, but we hope everyone over there gets their internet access back," it said.
"While you’re here though click the link to our webstore and grab yourself a cool T-shirt or something," it added.
