Cryptocurrency Dogecoin has surged into the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market value at one point on Friday after brash billionaire Elon Musk posted a tweet that netizens took as a reference to the meme-based digital coin.
Over the last 24 hours, Dogecoin is up by over 370% based on cryptocurrency tracker CoinGecko.
Earlier in the day, the SpaceX founder tweeted an image of "Dogue," which many netizens interpreted as a form of support for the dogecoin. Musk, in December, also tweeted about the digital coin. He simply said: "One word: Doge."

On Twitter, #dogecoin has become a trending topic in the Philippines with over 754,000 tweets as of Friday afternoon.
Some netizens are pushing to up the price of dogecoin to $1 as Reddit threads continue to disrupt markets.
