Metro Manila mayors said Tuesday they approved shortening curfew hours in the capital region to four hours, from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m., starting Oct. 13.
This will help gradually reopen the economy to increase business activity, the Metro Manila Council said. It also cited the steady decrease of active cases in the region as reason to adjust curfew hours.
It was two hours shorter than the previous uniform curfew hours in the capital region under Alert Level 4, which was from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
