One of flight attendant Christine Dacera's friends on Wednesday said police forced him to lie about alleged party drugs in her drink on the night she died in exchange for his freedom.
Fellow flight attendant Rommel Galido made the claim seven days after he was released from police custody. Earlier in the day, Galido and several other men who were with Dacera at the City Garden Hotel last New Year's Eve faced a closed door preliminary investigation.
Galido earlier claimed that Dacera told him that she suspected that a certain Mark slipped something in her drink and gave her a headache. Dacera was found lifeless in her hotel room bathtub and her family believes there was foul play.

"Kailangan sabihin. Sabi ng pulis, kailangan akong magturo para sa kalayaan ko," he said.
The preliminary investigation that started Wednesday will determine whether or not cases will be filed in court. Results of a second autopsy on Dacera's remains are due out this week.
