Dine-in services in Metro Manila will be prohibited again, Malacañang said Friday as stricter COVID-19 protocols are set to take effect due to the Delta variant of coronavirus.
Both indoor dine-in and al fresco dining will be barred and only take out and delivery will be allowed, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said. Operations for July 30 will be allowed until end of business hours, he added.
From July 30 to Aug. 5, Metro Manila will be under general community quarantine or GCQ with heightened restrictions. By Aug. 6, the capital region will shift to enhanced community quarantine or ECQ, the strictest quarantine.
Personal care services, such as beauty salons, beauty parlors, barber shops and nail spas will still be allowed to operate up to 30% of venue or seating capacity from July 30 to Aug. 5 , Roque said.
Indoor sports courts and venues and indoor tourist attractions and specialized markets of the Department of Tourism are prohibited too while outdoor tourist attractions will still be allowed at 30% venue capacity.
Only Authorized Persons Outside their Residences will be allowed to travel in and out of the Metro Manila Bubble, which includes Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna, and Rizal.
