DPWH Converts ULTRA to COVID-19 Isolation Center in Three Days

It has room for 132 beds.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the We Heal As One COVID-19 isolation center at ULTRA, or PhilSports Arena.

The Pasig City arena was transformed into a 132-bed isolation facility with the help of Villar Group of Companies, according to DPWH Secretary Mark Villar. Construction took place on April 15 to 17. The newly converted arena was inspected by the Department of Health, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, and Mayor Vico Sotto on April 21.

According to Sotto, the We Heal as One center will be for “asymptomatic to mild-positive patients,” and that the local government of Pasig will help as needed.
