Tiyanak is Born on Drag Race PH as Filipino Folklore, Talent Take Global Stage

The queens of Drag Race Philippines served their best aswang looks on the runway on the series' third episode and were trending early Thursday for giving their global audience a taste of Filipino folklore and talent.

Host Paolo Ballesteros and the judges panel, with guest Nadine Lustre, gasped as Precious Paula Nicole gave birth to three tiyanak, or flesh-eating baby ghoul on stage. One of triplet monsters, drenched in blood, crawled towards its ninang or godmother, Jiggly Caliente.

Overnight, the episode was trending on Twitter with nearly 40,000 posts.

Vinas Deluxe served a manananggal illusion, appearing to have helved herself and ready to spread her wings and fly in search of a pregnant woman's belly juice. Turing, who slayed the girl group performance challenge, came as a giant fetus-hungry tiktik.

Another trending moment was when host Ballesteros introduced the guest judge as "Her Excellency, President Nadine Lustre", in a hat tip to her being a Gen Z favorite.

Turing, who won the week's Ru Badge and a P80,000 cash tip won the maxi challenge proving how Filipina drag performers, in her own words, are "world class". Sexbomb Jiggly is proud.
