Commuters in Metro Manila can avail of free rides at the EDSA Busway Carousel starting Monday, April 11, the LTFRB said, as fuel prices continue to rise.
Free rides start at 4 a.m. and last until 11 p.m. according to the LTFRB. Some 515 public utility vehicles will be used to provide free rides to the public, it added.
The free rides are part of the government's Service Contracting Program where PUV operators and drivers are paid for the number of trips they make per week.
The program has a P7 billion budget under the General Appropriations Act according to the Department of Transportation.
