All the way to New York City, as proven by one vacationing Filipina who got herself a free donut at Krispy Kreme's Times Square branch just by presenting her proof of vaccination—her #QCProtektodo card.
A resident of Quezon City, University of the Philippines student Nina Liu went to the U.S. on a Fulbright exchange program for one semester. Since it's fall break at her school, University of Southern Indiana, Liu said she went to NYC to spend time with some of her college friends.
Aware of how Krispy Kreme was giving away one free Original Glazed doughnut everyday to any vaccinated individual, Liu decided to try her luck. Noting how the staff did not even take a second look at her vaccination card, she shared her experience via Instagram stories.
"Free donut for breakfast care of QCProtektodo," she said.
