Free delivery is the top factor that drives Filipinos to "add to cart" according to a report on digital trends during the second year of the pandemic.
Nearly 7 in 10 Filipino internet users aged 16 to 64 or 65.7% said the free delivery option encourages them to purchase online, followed by customer reviews at 54.5% based on the "Digital 2022: The Philippines" report.
Coupons and discounts come in at third followed by cash on delivery options with nearly half of Filipino internet users considering these as the top online purchase driver.

The majority of Filipino internet users at 62.5% said their weekly online shopping activities comprise of buying products or services, followed by ordering groceries at 24.6%, and buying second-hand items via an online store at 14.5%.
An estimated P860.95 billion ($16.79 billion) was spent on online shopping in 2021 according to the report, with most purchases accounting for electronics at P365.61 billion ($7.13 billion) followed by furniture at P137.42 billion ($2.68 billion) and personal and household care items at P131.27 billion ($2.56 billion).
Online shopping became a recourse and habit for many Filipinos since the pandemic started in 2020 with strict lockdowns and stay-at-home orders preventing many from buying supplies and goods.
