Starting Sept. 9, eligible voters can sign up to vote in the 2022 elections through satellite registration sites in select Ayala Malls nationwide.
The Commission on Elections on Thursday released the guidelines for voter registration at Ayala Malls to make sign ups more accessible to the public ahead of the Sept. 30 deadline.
Here's the schedule of satellite voter registration sites in Ayala Malls, along with their policies for registration:
The Comelec reminded the public that only applications from residents of the locality where the mall is located, or from those who want to transfer their registration record to the same area, will be accommodated.
For example, only residents of, or transferees to, the first district of Makati City, will be accommodated in Glorietta.
While application forms are available for free in registration booths, they can also be downloaded at the Comelec website or accomplished online through irehistro.comelec.gov.ph.
For applications filled out through the Comelec mobile registration app, applicants only need to present the QR code at the booth.
Applicants are also reminded to bring at least one valid ID and ballpen at the registration site.
The Comelec on Wednesday said voter registration in areas under MECQ will resume on Sept. 6. Sign ups in areas under ECQ are still suspended, but will automatically continue once their community quarantine status is downgraded.
