  • After weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz clinched gold last week, at least two more medals are secured for Team Philippines in Tokyo, one of which is for Filipino boxer Nesthy Petecio who is competing in the women’s featherweight division finals.
  • Filipino boxer Eumir Marcial also made it into the men’s middleweight division semifinals round, which guaranteed him at least a bronze medal.
