The Kingmaker, a documentary on former first lady Imelda Marcos, is now available via streaming for free.
Kingmaker writer and director Lauren Greenfield on Friday tweeted that they worked with local distributors for a free stream of the documentary: "We have worked out an arrangement with our partners @ABSCBN and @iwanttfc, and are now able to share THE KINGMAKER with *all* of our friends in the Philippines."
Anyone can watch the documentary on Vimeo—no registration or sign-up needed.
Spliced with footages leading up the present times, almost four decades since Marcos' Martial Law was lifted, The Kingmaker details the Marcos family's return to power through Greenfield's interviews with their matriarch Imelda, and the circumstances in the country's political environment that made such comeback possible.
Presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his son Sandro Marcos, who is currently running as a representative for hometown Ilocos Norte's first district, are also interviewed in the documentary.

The Kingmaker made its debut in August 2019 at the 76th Venice Film Festival, and hit Philippine screens on January 2020 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The documentary was available for stream via iWantTFC in May 2020 and could be viewed only on-demand on the same platform three months later.
