The hashtag #LeyteNeedsHelp was trending on Wednesday as survivors of rain-induced floods and landslides from Tropical Storm Agaton (Megi) in the Visayas pleaded for aid.
The death toll from the first storm of 2022 has risen to 58, according to an Agence France-presse tally. While Agaton is on its way out, it will continue to bring rains to large parts of the country throughout the Holy Week, PAGASA said.

Discover Baybay City
Local authorities in the area that's under a state of calamity called for bottled water, canned goods, instant noodles, biscuits, blankets, and slippers for the survivors of Agaton. Cash donations via GCash and BPI are also welcome.
Sangguniang Kabataan of Baybay City
The youth-led initiative accepts donations via GCash and PNB.
PassFast Baybay Leyte
Blankets, drinking water, canned goods, cup noodles can be dropped off at Mashita Baybay. It also welcomes monetary donations via GCash or BPI.
Robredo People's Council Leyte
The volunteer group is accepting in-kind donations such as blankets, rice, bottled water, and face masks. Cash donations are also welcome.
A'TIN Leyte-Samar
The SB19 fan group is accepting monetary and in-kind donations.
