The BGC-Ortigas Center Link which will divert traffic from EDSA and shorten travel time for motorists shuttling between Makati and Mandaluyong is nearing completion and will open on June 12, photos showed.
Public works secretary Mark Villar inspected the P1.793-billion project on Thursday, roughly a month ahead of its opening. The four-lane bridge crosses the Pasig River and is composed of a lane viaduct along with a widened road.
Once complete and fully operational, it will take only 12 minutes to go BGC in Taguig to the Ortigas Central Business District. Following its June opening, the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge in Manila is expected to finish construction in July as part of the EDSA decongestion project.
