Independence Day Job Fair 2022: What You Need to Know

Jobseekers can apply for 122,000 vacancies during the annual Independence Day job fairs in multiple locations across the country, a labor official said Thursday.

Applications will be on a face-to-face basis in 23 locations, said Alejandro Inza Cruz, assistant regional director of the labor department's Central Luzon office.

Here's what you need to know:

What are the requirements?

Job applicants should bring multiple copies of the following:

  • Biodata
  • Picture (2x2)
  • Certificate of employment
  • Diploma/transcript of records
  • Authenticated birth certificate

First-time job fair attendees will be asked to fill out the National Skills Registration Program form befoe proceeding to the selection area. (Download the form here or go to the registration area for a copy.)

Job fair sites will also offer one-stop shop pre-employment and advisory services to help applicants comply with pre-employment requirements.

How many jobs are available?

There are 122,985 job vacancies for local and international posts, said Cruz.

As of June 8, there are 95,476 available for local applications and 27,509 overseas job offers.

What are the available jobs for overseas employment?

Employers are looking for applicants for these positions: nurses, factory workers, household workers, carpeters, electricians, masons, and cleaners.

Top destinations for overseas work are Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Australia, said Cruz.

Are there positions available for government work?

Yes, according to Cruz. Among the agencies looking for applicants are the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Job offers include administrative and technical positions, lawyers, and police officers.
