In the time of COVID-19, being in a long-distance relationship is the "new normal."
And top fast-food chain Jollibee highlights this in its first of a three-part Valentine's Day commercial series titled "LDR."
The ad, directed by romcom genius Antoinette Jadaone, premiered on Thursday night and tugged at the heartstrings of couples who were separated because of the pandemic.
With the theme "Find Strength in Love," the commercial featured a couple who was forced to adjust to a long-distance relationship because of the pandemic after getting used to spending most of their time together.
"Distance means nothing when someone means everything," the commercial reminded Filipino couples in long-distance relationships.
“LDR” is one of three Valentine's Day commercials Jollibee is releasing this month. The other two are titled "First Date" and "Hero."
