Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday said she works for more than 18 hours a day because of her desire to help and reach more people as well as for the "love" of her supporters.
During her "Pink Sunday" event in Quezon City, Robredo thanked her supporters for helping in her campaign to become the next president of the Philippines. She did not directly mention a viral video by Sen. Imee Marcos, sister of her chief rival in the presidential elections, Bongbong Marcos.
"Para po sa inyo talagang sinisipagan namin. Alam natin na marami tayong kailangang trabahuhin pero yung pinapakita niyong pagmamahal, yun yung nagbibigay sa amin ng lakas para araw-araw gigising nang maaga, more than 18 hours magta-trabaho," she said without mentioning any name or reference.
The hashtag #AkoSiLenLen trended on Saturday after Robredo's supporters rebutted the video posted by Sen. Marcos, which ended with a link to an Inc.com article saying that those who say they work 18 hours a day are "either lying or stupid".

"Bakit kinakailangan tiwalaan tayo?
Imee previously spoke about Robredo as an "extraordinary housewife" who should never be underestimated, which some saw as a backhanded compliment.
