First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos went viral overnight on Friday after a photo of her sticking her tongue out during the inauguration of her husband President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. made rounds online.
For those who were not able to attend or watch the inauguration of Marcos Jr., the viral moment happened after the new president took his oath of office and his wife appeared to be holding back tears.
Marcos Jr. took his oath as the 17th president of the Republic of the Philippines at the National Museum of Fine Arts before a crowd of politicians, foreign dignitaries, supporters, and journalists.

During the inauguration proper, the new first lady was wiping tears while her husband was signing the oath before Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and the Marcos children.
After signing the document, Marcos Jr. stood beside his family and received hugs from his children while Gesmundo signed the oath too. It was during this time that Liza whispered something to Marcos Jr. that led the new president to bring out a handkerchief for her to wipe her tears with.
Apparently teased by the crowd for the moment, Liza stuck her tongue out, moved to the side, and turned her back to the crowd as she wiped more tears.
The event, as expected, was an emotional one for the Marcoses who reclaimed power over three decades since they went into exile in 1986 after the family patriarch, late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was ousted from power in a popular revolt.
