Students who will attend face-to-face classes can ride the LRT-2 for free starting Aug. 22, management said Wednesday.
Those attending schools along Manila's "university belt" can benefit from the Libreng Sakay program of LRT-2, which runs from Recto in Manila to Antipolo in Rizal, said LRTA administrator Hernando Cabrera told the Laging Handa press briefing.

When can students ride for free?
Libreng Sakay for students will be from Aug. 22 to Nov. 5, 2022, Cabrera said.
What to present?
Students just need to show their school ID or any proof of enrollment before they will be given a single-journey ticket.
What happens after Nov. 5?
Students can still avail the 20% fare discount, said Cabrera.
Are there other free rides for students?
Students can also ride the EDSA Carousel for free until December 2022.
The Pasig River Ferry Service also offers free rides to commuters.
