LRT-2 will limit operations in preparation for the opening of the Marikina and Antipolo stations later in June, management said.
Until June 22, train services will only be available from Araneta Center-Cubao to Recto Station and vice versa.
First trip from Araneta Center-Cubao and Recto Station is scheduled at 5 a.m. Last trip from Araneta Center-Cubao is at 8:30 p.m., while last trip from Recto Station is at 9 p.m.
There will be no train operations from Araneta Center-Cubao to Santolation Station during this time.
Once the East Extension is fully operational, the trip from Recto in Manila to Antipolo in Rizal will take 40 minutes compared to an estimated three-hour trip via jeepney or bus. It can accommodate an additional 80,000 passengers daily.
Its opening in April was postponed due to a spike in COVID-19 cases and quarantine restrictions during that time.
