For the first time in history, the City of Manila will be led by a woman after Honey Lacuna won the mayoral race.
Lacuna, who served as a two-term vice mayor, led the six-way contest with 508,801 votes representing 94.30% of Manila City's election returns, data from the Comelec's transparency server showed.
At a far second is Alex Lopez with 158,250 votes.

Lacuna ran alongside Manila 3rd District Rep. Yul Servo Nieto, who also won the vice mayoral race with 554,336 votes. They both ran under the banner of Asenso Manileño.
A medical doctor by profession, Lacuna's mayoralty bid was endorsed by outgoing mayor Isko Moreno who ran for the presidency.
Lacuna has made history in the past as the first female vice mayor of Manila City, serving two terms under then-mayor Joseph Estrada and under Moreno.
