Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday lifted the liquor ban in the city under Alert Level 4 after consulting local officials and the private sector.

Moreno signed Executive Order No. 29, series of 2021, which states the city "finds no imperativeness to impose a liquor ban for now."

Business establishments in the city can now sell liquor products until Sept. 30.

Curfew in Manila and other areas in the capital region are at 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Under the alert level-based system of quarantine, mayors can implement lockdowns in certain houses, streets, or barangays as they see fit to curb the spread of COVID-19.
