Meralco said Thursday it would forego disconnections activities for the duration of the MECQ in the capital region and nearby high-risk areas as relief to consumers.
Disconnection activities are suspended until Sept. 7, when MECQ is expected to end. Areas covered include Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Lucena City, according to a text advisory.
Customers can access Meralco's 24/7 online channels for bill concerns and lighter payment terms for unpaid bills.
Real-time payments can be processed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. via Meralco Online, the Meralco App, or the Bayad App.
