The relaxed community quarantine protocols in the capital will remain as the Philippines tightens its border control to avoid the spread of the feared COVID-19 Delta variant.

Travelers from Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman were prohibited entry from the Philippines until July 31.

So far, the Philippines has fully inoculated 3.5 million of its people, while 9.6 million have received their first doses.
