San Miguel Corp on Thursday formally opened the Nagtahan northbound and southbound exit ramps of the Skyway, with five more ramps to follow.
The Nagtahan exits will allow motorists coming from the north and south to get to Sta. Mesa and the city of Manila faster.

"We are committed to fully delivering the remaining access ramps of Skyway 3 in the soonest possible time. With the Nagtahan exits, motorists coming from both [the South Luzon Expressway] and [the North Luzon Expressway] or other points of entry to the Skyway 3, can now opt to get to their destinations in Manila faster, without having to go through traffic, or contribute to traffic on major public roads and busy streets," said San Miguel President and CEO Ramon Ang.
The 18-kilometer expressway—which shortens travel time from Buendia to Balintawak to just 20 minutes, and Alabang to Balintawak to about 30 minutes—opened for free in January. Due to right-of-way issues, some access ramps had to open at a much later time.

San Miguel also recently opened the four-kilometer northbound section of the Skyway Extension project from Susana Heights to Sucat, allowing easy access to the Skyway System without having to pass through the Alabang viaduct.
The Skyway Stage 3 and the Skyway Extension project are part of SMC's 38-kilometer elevated Skyway System aimed at decongesting EDSA. It is also seen to link the SLEX and NLEX, further saving motorists time.
