Construction on the MRT-7, which will slash travel time between Quezon City and Bulacan, is 60.93% complete, photos from the Department of Transportation released Thursday showed.
The 22-kilometer rail line will cut the usual Quezon City-Bulacan trip to 35 minutes from as long as three hours. Partial operations and trial runs for Stations 4 to 8 without passengers are targeted for April 2022, with full operations eyed for the fourth quarter of 2022.
Running 14 stations long, the MRT-7 is expected to ferry 300,000 to 850,000 passengers daily. The MRT-7 will also link up the MRT-3 and LRT-1, allowing for more seamless travel.
