Naelah Alshorbaji of Parañaque City was crowned on Sunday as Miss Philippines Earth 2021, besting 65 other candidates in the environment-themed pageant.
The 23-year-old beauty queen succeeds outgoing titleholder Roxanne Allison Baeyens, who was named Miss Earth Water in the 2020 pageant.
The other titleholders are:
- Miss Philippines Air – Ameera Almamari (Atimonan, Quezon)
- Miss Philippines Water – Rocel Angelah Songano (Iloilo City)
- Miss Philippines Fire – Roni Meneses (Mandaluyong City)
- Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism – Sofia Grace Galve (Tanay, Rizal)
Alshorbaji will represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth 2021 pageant and compete for the crown currently held by Lindsey Coffey of USA.
It was the second time that the Miss Philippines Earth pageant was held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It carried the theme "Colors of the Earth," which was meant to "reflect the vast and unique biodiversity of the country," according to the pageant's website.
