Nothing's much-hyped Phone 1 will be released online in the Philippines on July 18, and soon on local tech retailer Digital Walker.
Nothing is a company founded by Carl Pei of OnePlus, the brand that used to undercut Apple and Samsung with near flagship specifications and a mid-range price.
However, OnePlus has over the years grown into a flagship device maker itself and its close-to-stock Android experience will soon give way to the heavily-skinned version of its much larger cousin, Oppo.
Enter Pei's Nothing, which in 2021 released earbuds that are hald the price of Apple's Airpods Pro.

At 399 pounds, or roughly P27,000 before taxes, the Nothing Phone 1 is half the price of the iPhone 13 or the Galaxy S22. Don't expect a top-tier processor though. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+.
The Nothing Phone 1 has dual cameras, a 4,500 mAh batter, and a 6.55-inch display enclosed in a water and dust-resistant glass body with a metal frame.

What stands out aesthetically is the transparent back that gives a peek into the device internals. Light strips in the color matched interior (either all black or all white), illuminate when there are notifications, a feature that Nothing calls "glyph".
