Number coding will be suspended starting Holy Tuesday, April 12, for the Holy Week break, the MMDA said Monday.
Initially, MMDA lifted the number coding on April 14 to 15, both regular holidays as declared by Malacanang.
More traffic personnel will be deployed in major thoroughfares, transport hubs, and key areas in Metro Manila starting Friday, April 8, in anticipation of the surge of Filipinos who will travel to the provinces or visit churches in the capital region for Visita Iglesia, the MMDA said.
