The Philippines on Monday received one million more Sinovac vaccines from China, as it moved to reach a milestone of 10 million jabs administered by Monday, authorities said.
The 10 millionth vaccine dose will be given in Valenzuela City, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said. The government aims to vaccinate at least 50 million this year or roughly half the population.
The Cebu Pacific plane carrying the procured Sinovac vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 around 7 a.m. It was the fifth batch of Sinovac vaccines delivered this June. Two million doses were delivered four days prior.
