Here's the 24-hour weather outlook for today, Aug. 18, from PAGASA:


Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon Province will have cloudy skies with rainshowers. Scattered rains and thunderstorms are also likely in the afternoon or evening.

The rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Metro Manila, Camarines, Mindoro, Marinduque will have cloudy skies, with rains possible by noon. Thunderstorms are also possible in the afternoon or evening.

Generally fair weather is expected in Visayas. Localized thunderstorms are also likely.


As early as this morning, cloud clusters monitored in the area will bring rains in Soccsksargen, Davao Region and Caraga region.

By noon, many parts of mainland Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers particularly in northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula.
