(UPDATED) Parokya ni Edgar and other bands on Friday denied a social media post that advertised theit appearance at a campaign rally of the Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte tandem in Zamboanga City.
The 90s OPM rock stars were part of a lineup that according to the post also includes IV of Spades, Kamikazee, and Agsunta.
"This is not true," the band said on Facebook.
Parokya ni Edgar is in Dubai for a concert tour, the first in two years.
Allan Burdeos of Kamikazee also said his band would not attend the event.
"NEVER kami mag paparticipate sa kampanya na ito. MGA SINUNGALING," he said in a post.
"WE ARE NOT FOR SALE."
"San darating ang tallano gold" was IV of Spade's Blaster Salonga's first reaction to the post.
"Seryosong sagot. Kailanman hindi mangyayari ito, ngayon palang sinusunog ko na ang tulay," he said in another Facebook post.
"Wala po kami dito, nasa bahay lang kami ng araw na yan," the band Agsunta said.
Singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo also said the post was "fake news."
