The Department of Health tallied more than 10,000 new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, with authorities set to decide this week on the fate of lockdowns in Metro Manila and other areas.

Tueday's 10,035 cases brought the total number of active cases to 105,787 and the cumulative total since the pandemic started to 1,765,765.

There were 96 deaths and 10,858 recoveries, bringing the totals to 30,462 and 1,629,426, respectively.
