President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday announced new quarantine classifications in the Philippines for the month of April as the country fights a renewed surge in COVID-19 cases.
Here are the different quarantine classifications announced by the President:
Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ
March 29 to April 4 subject to review:
- Metro Manila
- Bulacan
- Laguna
- Cavite
- Rizal
Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine or MECQ
April 1 to 15:
- Quirino Province (subject to regional IATF review for de-escalation)
April 1 to 30:
- Santiago City, Isabela
General Community Quarantine or GCQ
April 1 to 30:
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Region 2: Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya
- Region 4-A: Batangas
- Region 8: Tacloban City
- Region 10: Iligan City
- Region 11: Davao City
- BARMM: Lanao del Sur
Modified General Community Quarantine or MGCQ
April 1 to 30:
- Rest of the Philippines
