Trust in news among Filipinos increased as people turned to media for information during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a study on news consumption that also showed GMA Network as the most trusted source.
Overall trust in news increased by five percentage points to 37% with online news, including social media, emerging as the top source of information, the Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2022 showed.

The research was conducted by YouGov using an online questionnaire from the end of January until the beginning of February 2022 with a sample size of 2,023 in the Philippines.
