A magnitude 7 earthquake jolted Luzon island Wednesday, leaving a trail of destruction in parts of northern Luzon and with the tremor felt all the way to Metro Manila.

Filipinos reported cracks and damage in their homes, buildings, and roads after the powerful earthquake struck 3 kilometers northwest of Tayum, Abra at 8:43 a.m. as seen in these posts by Abra Information Center on Facebook.
In this photo taken by San Quintin disaster risk reduction management office, only one lane of this part of the Abra-Ilocos Sur National Road in San Quintin town is seen passable due to damage left by the earthquake.
In Vigan City, Ilocos Norte, residents have also reported damage in churches, roads, and some tourist attractions.
Phivolcs have warned of aftershocks and damage following the magnitude 7 earthquake.
