Photography club Zone V Camera Club said Friday it would hold a week-long fundraising event to secure desktop computers for poor students' online learning.
The "Image of H.O.P.E." exhibit and sale will run from Oct. 23-31, 2021. Prints will be sold at P2,600 a piece, Zone V said.
"For every photograph that you buy, you become a link in the chain of hope that allows access for students to learn and eventually prosper and excel," said Zone V President Cha Pagdilao.
Proceeds will go to scholars of the non-profit organization, Assumption Development Foundation (ADF). The group aims to sell 200 prints and raise at least P300,000 to buy computers, according to Zone V.
Featured in the exhibit are black & white and colored prints from 50 members including its ambassadors. One of Zone V's ambassador, Ruben Castor Ranin, was also a recipient of an ADF scholarship.
"'Images of H.O.P.E.' is a showcase for the talents of ZVCC's membership, but more that that, it's a way for us to use these talents in helping the community," said Pagdilao.
Prints come in two sizes: 8" x 8" and 7" by 10.5". Pigment on archival paper is used for the prints.
Delivery within Metro Manila is free of charge. For provincial or international orders, standard shipping rates will a[pply.
