The Philippines will ease travel protocols for individuals coming from on its Green List, meaning they are low risk for COVID-19, starting Thursday, Oct. 14.
The Inter-Agency Task Force on the pandemic response approved on Wednesday new quarantine and testing protocols for travelers coming from Green List countries and territories.

Here's what you should know according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque:
For fully vaccinated foreigners
A negative RT-PCR test is required to be taken within 72 hours prior to the departure from the country of origin. Upon arrival, no facility-based quarantine will be required but the passenger is enjoined to self-monitor for any symptoms until the 14th day.
For fully vaccinated Filipinos
Returning Filipinos who are fully vaccinated can choose facility-based quarantine until the release of a negative RT-PCR test taken in the quarantine facility upon arrival, or they can choose to forgo the facility-based quarantine but they should have a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours prior to departure from the country of origin.
Those who choose to forgo the facility-based quarantine should self-monitor for any symptoms until the 14th day.
For the unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, those with unverified vaccination status, and those vaccinated but failed to get COVID tested before departure
They need to undergo a facility-based quarantine until the release of a negative RT-PCR test taken on the fifth day. In the case of foreign nationals, they shall be required to secure hotel reservations for at least six days.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated minors traveling with their fully vaccinated parents or guardians shall be required to observe the quarantine protocols corresponding to their vaccination status. A parent or guardian shall accompany the child in the quarantine facility for the full term of the latter’s facility-based quarantine period.
For validation of vaccination status, the Philippines honors the following documents:
1. VaxCertPH digital certificate
2. Bureau of Quarantine or World Health Organization– issued International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis
3. The national digital certificate of the foreign government where they were vaccinated.
