Take Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio and other Filipino heroes with you as you register to vote for the 2022 elections through a social media filter from the Commission on Elections.
The #MagparehistroKaPila filter, which also features Apolinario Mabini, Aurora Quezon, and Melchora Aquino, was launched as the poll body encouraged Filipinos to document their journey in registering to participate in the upcoming polls.
The filter, which can be accessed on Facebook and Instagram, comes in three sets and can be used as registrants are on their way to the registration site, while falling in line, and after successful registration.
The same Filipino heroes also figured in Magparehistroka.com where they walk people through the registration process, step-by-step.
"Magparehistro ka na, kasi kung hindi, mumultuhin ka talaga namin," warned the animated heroes in the website, telling users that they didn't die just for Filipinos not to exercise their right to vote.
The Comelec has extended the voter registration period until Oct. 30 to accommodate more signups ahead of the 2022 elections.
So far, over 63 million voters are registered for the 2022 polls, with the poll body expecting up to 500,000 additional registrants before the month ends.
