Sen. Miguel Zubiri was dropped from Vice President Leni Robredo's senatorial slate after the reelectionist lawmaker endorsed the presidential candidate's chief rival, her spokesman said Wednesday.
Zubiri's endorsement of Bongbong Marcos violated the agreement between Robredo and so-called "guest candidates" in her senatorial slate, said her spokesman, Barry Gutierrez.
"With 12 days remaining before elections, we are moving forward with our 11-candidate Senate slate," Gutierrez said in a statement.

Zubiri was also removed from the senatorial lineup of presidential candidate Panfilo Lacson for the same reason. Manny Pacquiao, who is also seeking the presidency, said he would keep Zubiri in his slate to ensure representation for Visayas and Mindanao in the Senate.
