Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday outlined her plan to liberate Filipinos from the COVID-19 pandemic should she get elected as president, starting with competent and strategic leadership.
Robredo said slowing infections should not lead to complacency. She said lockdowns should be targeted, vaccines and philhealth benefits should be easily accessible and the health infrastructure should be rid of corruption.
She also called for unemployment benefits, support for agriculture that is key to ensuring food security, and an education system that ensures quality learning despite schools shifting online.
"Kailangan na nating tuluyang makalaya para tayo ay makahinga muli," she said.
